Oklahoma treats body-worn camera footage as a public record under the Open Records Act, with rights of access subject to enumerated exemptions. The key statutes (51 O.S. §24A.3, §24A.5, §24A.8) define records, provide for prompt, reasonable access, and specify redaction options for law-enforcement video. Release in criminal contexts may occur within 10 days after arraignment, unless redactions or delays apply for ongoing investigations (which may be extended by court up to 18 months). Denials can be reviewed by the Public Access Counselor, and, if needed, through district court.
