Deputy Runs Toward Danger, Rescues Driver from Burning Wreck on I-77

On Saturday, May 23rd, Patrol Deputy Threatt responded to a severe single-vehicle accident on I-77 Northbound at the 62 Mile Marker. When he arrived, he found the vehicle overturned, partially on fire, and a driver trapped inside. He was the first to arrive on scene, Deputy Threatt didn't hesitate, he immediately jumped into action, risking his own safety to pull the driver from the burning vehicle. LASD Deputy-Involved Shooting (DIS) in the 37900 block of 11th Street East, Palmdale

On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at approximately 12:20 p.m., Narcotics Bureau detectives arrived at the 37900 block of 11th Street East in Palmdale to serve a search warrant related to narcotics sales. Detectives were accompanied by uniformed Palmdale Station patrol deputies in marked black-and-white patrol vehicles. Detectives encountered a suspect in an idling vehicle adjacent to the target location. The suspect was identified as 25-year-old Christopher Reynoso.

COPA Releases Chicago PD Bodycam Video From Fatal Officer-Involved Shooting Near 5700 N. Washtenaw

COPA released video and materials related to a fatal officer-involved shooting near 5700 N. Washtenaw. Preliminary information indicates two on-duty CPD officers were investigating a stolen-vehicle call when one individual fled and another attempted to re-enter a dark-colored sedan; a struggle occurred, and an officer fired once as the individual drove away, striking him. The individual was transported to a hospital and pronounced deceased, while the officer was treated at a hospital in good condition. Two weapons were recovered at the scene.
