At 6:06 p.m. on April 15, 2026, East Lansing police officers were dispatched to a business at Lake Lansing and Abbot roads in reference to a theft. That call evolved into a stabbing by a suspect, which turned into an officer-involved shooting by officers from the East Lansing Police Department (ELPD). The Michigan State Police (MSP) is conducting the investigation as is standard procedure for officer-involved shootings.

Authorities are releasing more information about a deadly officer-involved shooting that claimed the life of an Oklahoma City woman.

The incident took place at 9:40 a.m. on Saturday, April 11 inside Grand Central Station. A witness told two NYPD detectives on the subway station's mezzanine there was a man with machete on the train. As the detectives headed to the subway platform, they encountered a slashing victim, and Griffin, with the machete in his hand.

A Lauderdale County warrant service incident in Florence involved a confrontation with David Culliver, who interfered with officers and was bitten during a K-9-assisted arrest. Culliver was arrested and charged; the department released full body camera footage to provide context, stating the use of force was justified after review.

Officers responded to a robbery in progress on Lone Tree Way in Antioch. The suspect rammed a patrol car and drove away with an officer inside the vehicle, leading to an officer-involved shooting. The suspect was later apprehended; injuries were reported as non-life-threatening to the suspect and minor to the officer.

It was later advised that Rivera’s death was due to an unintentional discharge by Rivera’s partner. On March 29, 2026, Toledo Police officers responded to a weapons call in the 3800 block of Airport Highway involving a known male reportedly making threatening statements while armed with a firearm.

On Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 1:58 a.m., APD responded to multiple 9-1-1 calls reporting a shooting at Buford’s, located at 700 West 6th Street. APD Officers, alongside Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services (ATCEMS), arrived on the scene within 57 seconds and located multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds and immediately began rendering aid. Austin Fire (AFD) also assisted on scene.

On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at approximately 12:20 p.m., Narcotics Bureau detectives arrived at the 37900 block of 11th Street East in Palmdale to serve a search warrant related to narcotics sales. Detectives were accompanied by uniformed Palmdale Station patrol deputies in marked black-and-white patrol vehicles. Detectives encountered a suspect in an idling vehicle adjacent to the target location. The suspect was identified as 25-year-old Christopher Reynoso.
