A short time later, Flores fired his gun in the direction of the officers. Officers then discharged their firearms, striking Flores. Officers immediately approached and took Flores into custody. Medical personnel were requested and responded to the scene. Despite their efforts, Flores was pronounced deceased at the scene. No officers or additional citizens were injured during this incident.
